About

My name is Jakub Stefan Szydłowski, and I am a Polish translator of Tibetan as well as a Yungdrung Bön practitioner. The name of this site comes from my refuge name, Tsewang Ösel. I hold an M.Sc. Eng. in chemical technology and am now studying Tibetan intensively in Dharamshala, India, and translating Bönpo ritual texts into English and Polish. I am committed to creating high-quality, accurate and accessible translations for practitioners.

Currently I am furthering my knowledge of Tibetan at the Lotsawa Rinchen Zangpo Translator Program. After finishing the first year of the two-year program at Lotsawa, I decided it would be more fruitful for my studies to continue my education with private teachers here. Despite facing many obstacles during my stay in India, I continue to study to become the best translator I can be.
